BEING GENEROUS WAS MY CRIME
BLACK BLOOD CLOTTED ALL AROUND MY MIND,
HUMAN MIND IS SKEPTIC
UNIQUENESS IS PROVED TO BE DEFECTIVE,
INDIVIDUALS PRETEND TO BE CONNECTED
REALITY IS ALWAYS INCONSISTENT WITH NOTION PROJECTED,
I WAS READY TO FLY WITH MY WINGS OPEN
BLACK IS NOT A COLOUR IT’S AN EMOTION,
CULTURE IS OBSESSED WITH FAIRNESS
RACE IS STILL BEGGING FOR ACCEPTANCE,
REJECTION OF BLACK COLOUR BY MAINSTREAM ARTISTS IS SUSPICIOUS
DEPICTION OF DIVINE IN DARK IS CONSIDERED INAUSPICIOUS,
UNABLE TO SMUDGE THE COLOR THAT MADE ME FEEL SHY
APPLIED THE LOTION TO MAKE IT HIDE,
I AM HERE TO LIVE MY LIFE
WORDS ARE MORE VICIOUS THAN A SHARP KNIFE,
BLM AND RACISM ARE JUST SLANG
SOCIETY WON’T LEAVE YOU UNTIL YOU HANG,
I AM NOT GOING TO CHANGE FOR YOU
BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT I AM
I CONDEMN.
